About the role
One of our prestigious clients is hiring a Researcher – Media & Content to dig up facts, verify sources and supply the material that writers and producers rely on. Your work will make the final content more accurate and more interesting.
What you'll do
- Research assigned topics in depth using archives, public records, reports and credible online sources.
- Verify sources and claims, flagging anything uncertain before it reaches publication.
- Collect and organise data, quotes and background into clear research briefs.
- Monitor media coverage on assigned subjects and summarise developments for the content team.
- Write concise notes, timelines and fact sheets that editors can use at a glance.
- Maintain a well-labelled research library so earlier findings can be reused.
What you'll bring
- 0–3 years of experience in research, journalism or content support; freshers may apply.
- A graduate degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Research or a related discipline.
- A careful, sceptical approach to sources and evidence.
- Organised data collection and note-taking that others can follow easily.
- Clear, concise writing for internal briefs and summaries that editors trust.
Good to have
- Familiarity with spreadsheets for organising, sorting and checking research data.
- Exposure to fact-checking in a newsroom or publishing setting.
- Broad curiosity across news, business and entertainment subjects.
